The Coupeville Festival Association Board announced this year’s recipients of project grants at the December 1st meeting.  It was wonderful to hear about how the grants would be used to enhance our community! Over $25,000 was given out to the following organizations!


Coupeville Art Center  dba The Pacific NorthWest Art School – New equipment to facilitate the educational programs
Coupeville Boys and Girls Club – Arts supplies for various programs
Coupeville Chamber of Commerce – Funding for the Memorial Day parade
Coupeville Elementary School – Art supplies for the Young Authors program
Coupeville Historic Waterfront Association – Pennies for Preservation program,hanging flower baskets
Coupeville History Day – Electronic equipment to support History Day, field trips, and research
CSD Juvenile Detention Education Program – Canvases, paint, brushes and framing materials for paintings by youth
Historic Whidbey – Fund the site sign for the 1866 Haller House on Front & Main
Island County Historical Society – collection, preservation and interpretation of Island County History
Pacific Rim Institute – Improve the scenic value and trails by removing left over debris
Penn Cove Water Festival – Youth activities, canoe races and exhibits
Sno-Isle Library – Cultural Enrichment Project for Early Release Students
Whidbey Island Giant Pumpkin Contest – Advertising expenses to promote the contest, seed giveaway
Whidbey Island Kite Festival – Highway banners to promote the kite festival
WSU Beach Watchers – Update the Marine Mammal Interpretive Center at the Coupeville Wharf
